The more they feel defeated, the heavier they push and the more they are resilient. We want to back the darest, those who have a natural inclination to fail, to take risks, to push the level higher and higher even despite the reality they are forced to face, and the only reason they are doing it is because they feel they have to. Nothing more. For these reasons, our investment mandate allows us to directly invest in people, even before there is a concrete idea.

We will select and support thousands of entrepreneurs to build ventures each with the potential to reduce or remove at least 10 million tonnes of CO2e per annum once at scale. We have invested in 64 innovative carbon emissions-mitigating startups since 2021, which have a current market value of £140 million, and are collectively working towards 500 million tonnes of emissions reduction by 2040.
